Are you ready to start making your home and family healthier by switching from toxic cleaners to more natural alternatives? Follow along as I show you how to ditch those store-bought chemicals and make an easy natural alternative to your laundry routine.
I recently switched our laundry routine in our household from dryer sheets to these laundry balls and homemade laundry dryer ball spray and we couldn’t be happier. Not only is the switch a safer and healthier option for my family but I don’t have to pull old dryer sheets out of the clean laundry basket and throw them away. Being a mom of 3 little girls, I feel like I spend a lot of time doing laundry and pulling those dryer sheets out of the clean laundry was an annoying task. I feel like transition is very simple and I haven’t missed having a drying sheet in the dryer since.
Homemade dryer ball sprays made with essential oils are simple to make and only take a few natural ingredients. And the best part about making homemade sprays, is you can customize the scent to your liking. Here are some common essential oil scents used in laundry dryer ball sprays:

What Are Dryer Balls?
Dryer balls are an all-natural, handmade, eco-friendly ball made from wool with no fillers. This healthier alternative to dryer sheets is safe for your family, children and babies. These wool balls are chemical free and is a safe choice for families who want to be healthier in their laundry routine.
The dryer balls reduce laundry wrinkles and static cling by lifting and separating the laundry as it tumbles. Wool balls shorten drying time and keep your laundry soft and fluffy.

How to Use Dryer Balls
- Determine what type of load you have: Use 3-4 balls for a medium to large load, and 5-6 for an oversized load.
- Spray dryer balls with your favorite scent sprayer and place them in the dryer.
- Add clothes and run a normal drying cycle.
- If you don’t want to make the spray, you can add 4-5 drops of essential oil directly to the dryer ball. Let the essential oils sit for 15 mins before you add clothes to avoid oil stains on your clothes.
